We had the pleasure of attending Sabato’s wedding in Paestum. Sabato is my husband’s second cousin.
It had been more than five years since I went to a wedding. Then between September 2011 and July 2012 (six months duration), we have now been to three weddings!
I adore weddings, its always brilliant fun! I admire the exquisite dresses and jewellery of the ladies and look forward to seeing the splendour of the beautiful bride. The food is plentiful and scrummy and the music and dancing great fun!
The wedding started at 4pm. The wedding guests started to assemble at the Minerva Hotel in Paestum at about 7.30pm for the reception. The Bride & Groom were elsewhere posing for their wedding shoot. During this time we had ample opportunity to admire and explore the grounds of the hotel and mingle with the other wedding guests.
The hotel was in a prime location being close to the historic ruins of Paestum. The beach was also just across the road beyond the row of tall trees.
The bride and groom arrived to the reception just after 9pm. We then dug into the appetisers and drunk the bar dry. A bit later we moved inside to the hotel function room.
The Emcee was very talented. Not only did he organise the toasts and schedule for the wedding and act as Toastmaster, but he was a complete band in one. He had a digital keyboard and amplifiers and s microphone and a saxophone. The emcee went between talking, to singing, to playing the saxophone and then deejaying.
The food was a treat for seafood lovers like myself and the dancing was brilliant!
