We had a fab meal last night. It’s hard to believe, but last night was the first time I had eaten at a barbeque! Shocking isn’t it. Well you can imagine my delight when a friend invited us to dinner last night, and for a barbeque, no less! It was the ideal weather for a barbeque. Warm enough, with the sun out, but by evening it was no longer hot. Instead a cool breeze meant that it was comfortable.
I settled down into my lounge chair and enjoyed being waited on hand and foot while the boys busied themselves with the drinks and the cooking. Bliss! Before the end of the evening we were invited to return, and I am already looking forward to the next time.
So what are my next plans BBQ wise? Our house group that I’ve joined is having a joint barbeque with another home study. And I discovered today that it will be held at the Vicarage this Wednesday. I am looking forward to it already! We just need to think about what to take with us. I’m thinking of some home made hamburger patties with lots of herbs and onions, delicious!
