It was a sunny but windy day and a hectic one too. We finally got around to getting some vegetable plants to grow. The first step was to buy the plants from the garden centre.  We had left it too late to start with seeds.

The grass is finally mown, its amazing how fast it grows!  Its good to see it cut again, looks so  much smarter.

We had to get some tools too, a spade and fork.

Our neighbour was very generous.  They lent us one of their garden tools, as our small collection weren’t quite strong enough, so they kindly lent us a hard core very strong one (see below).

The soil was very hard and took some tackling.

A pair of robins were very active too, flitting around wherever the soil was tilled and the new compost was laid.

Lots of colourful pots sprewn around the place, isn’t it pretty!

The roses in the garden are doing well.  Isn’t this red rose pretty 😉
